I'm 21, and am co-terming, meaning that I'm a senior finishing my BA and completing my MA at the same time (both in English). I've managed to stay away from facebook, since so many of my friends are addicted to it and I just can't handle anything else taking up my time...

Edited because HB's censor is ridiculous.

Cool, there are so many of us! I don't think I mentioned that I got my undergrad degree in Biology and now I'm in grad school studying infectious diseases. I'm on the facebook too, that's another excellent waste of my time!

Although I have an idea...I blame it on going to a community college for two years and commuting to a university now. I only had the 'living on campus' expierence for one semester and didnt like the school or community

Anywho, can someone enlighten me? Ive heard of it, but to me honest, I rarely hear anyone talk about it where Im from. And trust me, I dont live out in the boonies either Most people that I know just talk on msn messenger or aol.

Wow!
I never realized there were so many of us in the same boat.
I'm 23, I graduated with a BA 2 Mays ago (aka May 2004). Since I'm just finally starting my professional career, I still consider myself a college kid. I definitely feel like it at work, since I'm so young and unexperienced compared to everyone else.
Anyways, I was the weird girl who had AG catalogs sent to her dorm room. I can't tell you how many looks I got from the front desk worker when I picked up my mail.

facebook is just an online community for college students and alums. You have a profile, and it's a great way to get in touch with people or stay in touch with people. You can just go to www.facebook.com to check it out

I'm 25 and I'm working on my Master's and licensure in Inclusive Early Childhood Education. I graduated when I was 23 with a BA in Psychology. I took a year off to just relax and enjoy myself(and it was awesome!), and now it's back to hitting the books. If things work out, I should only have three more semesters left. It's so cool how so many of us are in college and love AG! Now the world doesn't seem like such a big place!

I'm 22 and I'm taking time off before beginning my PhD. I studied anthropology and religious studies at the University of Wisconsin.

I'm on the facebook as well- look up Colette Denali.

Aha, does facebook have to do with AIM? Beacause yeah, I had one of those years ago but I prefered MSN and more people I knew used the other so I just stopped using AIM. In that regard, I do have myspace if anyone cares or has one themselves. I know we are all over 18 if we are posting on this thread, but I dont know if Im supposed to provide the link to that or not

IMO, Facebook is much lower maintenance than AIM. You have a profile with your name, picture, college/grad school, highschool, and anything else you want to add. You also have a "wall" where people who want to get in touch with you can write messages. Unlike AIM, there's not so much continuous contact. It's more of a way to catch up with old friends than to communicate. That's why I like it. AIM can make me nuts.
